Eid Festival of Maldives is one of the most important festivals celebrated by the Muslims. According to the Islamic Calendar Kuda Eid is the first day of the month of Shawaal. Muslim men and women assemble early in the morning at the mosque for prayer. This is considered as the period of fortune. Eid is observed for a period of three days during which the holidays are declared.
