Maldives’s National Museum & Attractions

Maldives is one of the most soughed tourist destinations which is known for its crystal clear beaches, tall palm trees with the crystalline white sand and the deep blue Indian Ocean. National Museum of Maldives is one of the main tourist attractions of the country which is located Sultan’s park which is a part of the Palace. It accommodates incredible objects which belong to the sultan which includes precious ornaments and manuscripts, arms and armor, photographs of celebrities.

It housed the collection of artifacts from the history of the Maldives from the pre-Islamic period to modern days. It also exhibits coral sculptures which includes the coral head of Lord Buddha and Hukuru Miskiiy wooden plaque of 13th century is very valuable exhibits.

It also exhibits several antiques which belonged to the past legends of the nation. It include “Feylikolhu” of Bodu Thakurufaanu and the “Fagudi” of Ghazee Hassan Izzadhdheen.
